I can't wait to celebrate with Angie and Chris for their Congressional Country Club wedding in May! Their wedding will be a joyous event! For now, enjoy some of my favorite images from their DC engagement photo session at Jefferson Memorial & Tidal Basin. The venue is particularly special to Chris' grandparents, who’d hoped their grandchildren would marry at the club someday. The Tidal Basin location is most associated with the National Cherry Blossom Festival each spring and its famous surrounding memorial buildings.Īngie & Chris’ wedding will be held at one of my favorite venues, the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD. ![]() Jefferson Memorial and Tidal Basin looked beautiful on the day of our session. (The monuments are further apart than you might think-ha!) I used to work at L’Enfant Plaza and always loved walking the mall at lunch! For photographers wanting to shoot a session in DC, do your research and stick to one monument per session. Photographing in DC is a little different than most parts of the country in that you must apply well in advance, pay your fees and get a permit to shoot most anywhere. It took a couple of months to find the perfect ring, but the one they decided upon is a beauty! After Angie's engagement ring was received from the jewelers, the two enjoyed a nice dinner out together in celebration. So in 2020, they went ring shopping together. Who knew that those adorable kindergarteners would someday become a married couple!Īfter eight years of dating, the marriage conversation started popping up. Even though they had met when they were little, it wasn't until their senior year of high school that they became friends. ![]() I loved meeting Angie & Chris-these two are so sweet together! Their story takes them all the way back to kindergarten. ![]() I ended up staying in DC the night before so I wouldn’t have to worry about driving in from Richmond that morning and enjoyed some pool chilltime and a fun dinner at the Hay-Adams!
