I can’t recommend Winsor & Newton pigment markers enough and definitely think you should check em out. I tried them out in my Moleskine sketchbook and was super stoked to see that my drawing didn’t spread to anywhere it wasn’t welcome. I also have to mention that these pens, unlike other markers, don’t bleed through pages. I could spend hours using the pigment markers, and the endless possibilities of texture, tone and colour make me really happy. Each color is twin-tipped with both fine point and chisel tip and encased in a sophisticated ergonomic marker design. The addition of these two little pens of genius allowed me to limitlessly work with the pens onto my sketchbook pages. Winsor & Newtons Pigment Markers utilize ultrafine artist pigment technology to provide long lasting color for unique rich versatile blending and lightfast color. Not only do the coloured pens have the ability to be combined as if they were paint, but they come accompanied by blending markers that help to smush together colours and to blur any pen marks that are over obvious. The most genius thing about these pigment markers are the colourless and white blenders. Honestly, i’m kinda blown away that all this variation can come from a marker pen. My work is typically very flat, so it was awesome to try out something so limitless and to create new (and often unexpected) textures. For me, the ink worked almost like watercolours - layering and fading to create brilliant new tones. Winsor & Newton has already sent out sets of Promarkers to several prominent artists on YouTube to help spread the word about the brand. The binder used in the formula of any given paint will block the Pigment Marker nib. Can I use Pigment Marker with other media, like water colour or oil This is not recommended. The pigment markers are double ended, giving you the choice to use a fine tip for little details, or a chunkier option for filling up large areas. Letraset has been acquired by ColArts, the parent company of Winsor & Newton and Derwent, and Promarkers and Flex Markers have been rebranded as Winsor & Newton Promarkers and Winsor & Newton Brushmarkers.
